Welcome to our site, the Sigma Chapter of the Pennsylvania State Organization of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Sigma Chapter was organized November 1, 1947
Sigma’s 79th Year.
We are a society of women educators.
Our mission is to promote excellence in education
by encouraging the professional and personal growth of women educators.
Our members represent many areas of education from both private and public institutions including preschool through college and graduate levels. Sigma Chapter is comprised of educators from the counties of Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union.
Biennium 2026 – 2028 has brought some changes to the president’s position.
This important position will now have four Sigma Chapter members working as a team. They will be sharing the leadership responsibilities. Each one will preside over one of the four yearly meetings.
Pictured are three of the four team members.
L. to R. Karen Tinstman, Ann Nowaski, and Sydney Edwards.
Not pictured is Brittany Bunting-Specht.
Meetings have changed, too. Sigma Chapter will only be meeting four times during the first year of our Biennium rather than five meetings.
October 1st, December 5th, March 6th, and May 6th.
